FAQ's

WHERE CAN I PARK?

There is on-street parking on Queen Street, and there are several parking garages within walking distance. The closest parking garage is the Prince Street garage with entrances on Prince Street or Orange Street.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I NEED TO BOOK MULTIPLE ROOMS?

Have a large group or feeling just a bit competitive and need to book more than one escape room? No Problem! Just give us a call and we can work our schedule to accommodate you & your group and even start them at the same time! (availability pending) 

WHO WILL BE IN THE ESCAPE. GAME WITH ME?

All of our experiences are private, therefore a minimum number of tickets is required for each room.

The Tavern: Accommodates up to 10 players. A minimum of 5 tickets is required to book this room. 

 

The Hideout, Shipwrecked and September 1777: Accommodates up to 8 players. On weekdays, a minimum of 2 players is allowed (Tuesday - Thursday). A minimum of 4 tickets is required
to book these rooms on the weekend.  

 

  *** Q: If we purchase the minimum amount of tickets and want to bring only 2 or 3 guests, is that ok?

         A: Absolutely, but it may be slightly more challenging with fewer guests.  

WILL I REALLY BE IN A LOCKED ROOM?

No, not technically. All of the doors in front of you will be locked, and to successfully complete the room, you must progress through the series of locked doors. An emergency exit is always unlocked and available for you to exit if needed.

CAN WE BOOK A PARTY WITH YOU?

ABSOLUTELY! We can’t wait to host your next group outing. We accommodate corporate events, team building events, birthday parties, showers, proposals, and all special occasions. Got something special planned? Give us a call! We can help you create a memorable experience.

DO I NEED A RESERVATION TO PLAY A GAME AT ESCAPE.?

We highly recommend a reservation (just click on any Book Now button to book your escape experience). We DO take walk-ins if the schedule allows, but it is not guaranteed that we will have a room or staff available. We are open by appointment only, so it is best to call or make a reservation if interested in playing a room. If you don’t see the time you'd like, or need multiple rooms and would like them to start at the same time, please call and we’ll do our best to accommodate you and your group. 

DO YOU HAVE A COVID-19/SICKNESS POLICY?

Masks are OPTIONAL while enjoying your visit to Escape. on Queen. However, we ask that if you (or anyone in your group) have tested positive for Covid-19 or are experiencing fever/chills, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea within the past 14 days to please reschedule your reservation. All rooms will be cleaned and sanitized between groups. Please call or email us as soon as you can if you have any concerns or develop any symptoms.

WHAT IF I NEED TO CHANGE OR CANCEL MY RESERVATION?

Cancellations or changes must be done at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled reservation to receive a full refund; otherwise, you will be charged the full booking amount. Changes in booking may be done by following instructions in the confirmation email you receive after booking. If you did not receive a confirmation email, please call 717.435.8049 or email us at contact@escapeonqueen.com.

 

LUNCH & LEARN CANCELLATION POLICY:

Cancellations or changes must be done at least 7 days prior to your scheduled reservation to receive a full refund. Any cancellations or changes done from 7 days up to 48 hours prior will result in a 50% refund. Cancellations or changes after 48 hours will result in being charged the full booking amount. 
For any Lunch & Learn cancellations or changes, please call us directly at 717.435.8049.

***The total number of participants must be confirmed at least 7 days prior to the event. If fewer guests show up, we will charge the full amount confirmed at the time of the original reservation. 

IS ESCAPE. HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE?

Our building meets ADA code, but if you need additional accommodations inside the escape rooms themselves, we will do our best to help you successfully escape.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I/WE ARRIVE LATE?

We ask that you arrive 10 to 15 minutes BEFORE your reservation time. For groups of 10 or more, we ask that you please arrive 20 minutes BEFORE your reservation time. The game begins at exactly the time you reserved, and if you arrive late you will be allowed to play. However, please be advised that our staff will enter the room prior to finishing your game to reset for the next group. 

Please allow time for finding parking, finishing waivers and payment, and to use the restroom if needed before your start time. We are located near several great restaurants and cafes, so feel free to come early to take advantage of all the great opportunities within walking distance of Escape. 

WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED TO STEP OUT OF THE ROOM WHILE THE GAME IS IN PROGRESS?

You are more than welcome to step out of the room, but please note that your game timer will not stop. 

ARE CELL PHONES OR CAMERAS PERMITTED?

Yes, but they are not necessary to successfully complete the rooms. The games are designed so that you can solve each puzzle or clue from information that can be found in the room.

Absolutely no photos or videos in the room during game time. This is to prevent spoilers for future players. There will be time to snap some fun photos after your escape, and we will be happy to take some for you. The rooms are closely monitored, and if you are seen taking photos or videos in the room, you will be respectfully asked to delete them. Continuing to do so after warning will result in your group being asked to leave the room without refund or rescheduling.
